About us
A construction company that does what it says
Schmeeckle Construction is a landscape construction company serving greater El Dorado County and Sacramento County. We build full backyard remodels and new outdoor spaces, and we take on everything from retaining walls and grading to cleanups and holiday lighting.
What we sell isn’t complicated: organized, professional work, on the schedule we committed to, at the quality we promised. Plenty of contractors can pour a patio. Far fewer return calls, show up on the day they named, and finish the punch list without being chased. That’s the company we’re building.
The standards
What we stand for
We show up when we say we will
Start dates mean start dates. If something changes, you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.
The scope is in writing
Line by line, before work starts. You know what you're buying, and so does the crew building it.
We self-perform the work
Most of what we build is built by our own people and equipment. That's how the schedule stays ours to keep.
The site gets cleaned every day
You live here while we build. A jobsite that's picked up each evening is a basic courtesy, not a finishing touch.
Accuracy over the cheapest bid
We'd rather lose a job to an honest number than win it with one that grows later. Our price is the price of doing it right.
Every job gets the same service
A $500 cleanup is scheduled, performed, and finished with the same care as a $150,000 build.
The process
How projects run
Site visit
We walk the project with you, listen to what you're trying to get, and flag anything you haven't had to think about yet.
Written proposal
A line-by-line scope with the sequence of work, so comparing bids is apples to apples.
A real schedule
A committed start window and the order of phases, communicated before we begin.
The build
Our crew, regular updates, decisions brought to you before they're built — not after.
The walkthrough
The finished work checked against the written scope together, punch list handled, done means done.
Where we come from
Schmeeckle Construction was founded by Mason Schmeeckle, who spent four years running EcoScape Solutions, a landscape construction company in this same area. The new company carries that experience forward — the crews, the standards, and the lessons of a few hundred yards built.
